Sorry for the lack of artwork lately, but I've been swamped with work. Anyway here's a new one based on a really cool photo on the Shorpy website. I'm not really sure I can repost the photo here so I'll let YOU find it. Shorpy is really worth looking through anyway. New Code 11's are in the works as well, so that'll be up soon.

My most narcissistic post ever!
So after Tre and I figured out what to draw we started planning it out. There was also a brief discussion about the sadness of not being creative enough to try something totally new. Very brief.
Here's Megan not quite willing to tell us how stupid we are.
Then a quick Pepsi break. (I was told my check is in the mail) Diet is gross.
Plenty of sealant and...
...Behold!!
Much thanks to Rita for taking all the pictures. It was major fun. I'm also a little embarrassed, but not as much as I should be.

Chalk Art!
So a few weeks ago I went with a few friends from work to Seminole Community College for some chalk art thing. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I had to go cuz I promised my friend Megan I would go, and she wouldn't let me back out. She's kinda scary when she's angry.
Here's some of the stuff we saw when we got there.
One of my favorites
I really have no idea what this is
Another one of my favorites
This girl took over the whole show like a rock star by doing a bunch of great stuff all over the place, like this octopus...
...and a bunch of these cool line drawings.
Here is Hurricane Maria's contribution
Here is Megan working on her badass squid to battle with that other octopus
This is Rita's badass seahorse. He has a gun in the other flipper.
Tre and I couldn't really think of anything to draw, but we ate their pizza, so we had to draw something. So we figured since we'd never been to SCC campus and would never go again, these students needed a way to see our awesome faces every day.
to be continued...

Dr. Sketchy
Dr. Sketchy is something I only recently found out about. Once a month here in Orlando, they hold a figure drawing session in a small tea shop. Many cities have Dr Sketchy, so look it up, you might have one near you.
These were from the first session I went to in March. One model, two different costumes. All brush pen and pencil.
These were from last week. These models were not nearly as good as the previous one. Very boring un-dynamic poses, but I was still fairly happy with the outcome. I was better prepared this time as far as drawing materials. Black and gray brush pens above, brush pen and colored pencil on red paper below.

David Bowie - revised
I redid the color on this one. I was never happy with the color job on the other one, but I wasn't sure why. A friend pointed out to me that the black and white version was much more effective than the first color job, so I tried again using only flat muted colors. I do like it better than the other color version, but still not quite as much as the non-color version. Either way I think I will leave it alone and move on.
