The Audubon

I went with a group to this great place called the Audubon where my friend Maria volunteers. Its a shelter for birds of prey.

There is always a special challenge when drawing animals live. It is difficult because most of the time the animal wont stay still, but I find i come out with more interesting sketches for that very same reason. The ones down below were drawn with pen on 3x11 paper. It's something I saw Steve Silver do years ago at a caricature convention, and I always liked the idea.
